Boce (known as 拨测) is a network diagnostics and website monitoring platform that provides a wide array of tools for measuring internet performance, checking domain name status, and verifying network security. The platform is primarily used by website owners, system administrators, network engineers, and general users who need to assess the accessibility and speed of their online services. One of its core functions is website speed testing. Users can enter a URL and select from over 6,000 global test nodes, including both data center and residential nodes, to measure load times from different geographic locations and network carriers—China Telecom, China Unicom, and China Mobile. The tool supports batch testing, allowing up to 200 URLs in a single run, and the results can be exported for analysis. For continuous monitoring, users can create scheduled test tasks that repeatedly check a website’s availability and response time from chosen nodes, with alerts for anomalies. Beyond basic speed tests, Boce offers a suite of specialized diagnostics. The PING test measures latency and packet loss to a target IP or domain. DNS speed testing evaluates the resolution time of domain names across multiple DNS servers. An IPv6 readiness check verifies whether a website supports the IPv6 protocol and identifies potential issues. For security and content inspection, the platform provides “hijacking detection” to see if a website’s content has been altered by an ISP, “pollution detection” for DNS poisoning, and “blocking detection” to determine if a site is inaccessible from certain regions or carriers.
