Back in August 2009, two developers named Luo Wenya and Lai Linfeng launched this collection of browser-based utilities. These two were already known in Chinese tech circles for building Ylmf OS, a custom Linux distribution that gained over 8 million downloads before the project was discontinued in 2013. The toolbox aggregates 180-plus small tools across twelve categories including document conversion, image processing, encryption, encoding, text analysis, domain lookup, and SEO checking. The three most heavily used tools are PDF-to-Word conversion at 420 thousand daily calls, JSON formatter at 310 thousand, and image compression at 280 thousand. Combined traffic hits roughly one million tool invocations per day. A key technical decision made early on was processing everything client-side using WebAssembly rather than uploading files to a server, which means user data never leaves the browser. In 2020 the team completed a full migration of the last 12 Flash-dependent tools to HTML5 Canvas, eliminating browser plugin dependencies entirely. Daily unique visitors sit around 850 thousand. The parent company Guangzhou Yulinmufeng Computer Technology was acquired in 2018 for 38.98 million yuan, though the toolbox continues operating independently with its original development team intact. The site holds ICP registration Yue-B2-20090921 and received Guangdong Province High-Tech Product certification in 2015.
