AZPROMO

AZPROMO, the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Agency, is the government agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan responsible for promoting non-oil exports and attracting foreign direct investment into the non-energy sectors of the Azerbaijani economy, headquartered in Baku. Established in 2003 as the Azerbaijan Foundation for Promotion of Exports and Investment and operating under the Ministry of Economy, AZPROMO has evolved as Azerbaijan seeks to diversify its economy beyond oil and gas exports. The agency provides foreign investors with market information, investment opportunity assessments, business matchmaking with local partners, assistance with company registration procedures, and connections to special economic zones offering tax incentives. For local exporters, AZPROMO offers export readiness assessments, participation subsidies for international trade fairs, market research on target export destinations including Turkey, Russia, European Union, and Central Asian markets, and support for obtaining international quality certifications required by foreign buyers.
