Backdrop provides a specialized AI team composed of two autonomous agents: an AI Product Manager (named Alex) and an AI Software Engineer (named Sam). These agents are pre-configured to work together on product development tasks, with the user retaining full control over all decisions. The AI Product Manager analyzes customer feedback, extracts key signals, converts them into detailed product specifications, and manages sprint planning to keep development aligned with user needs. The AI Software Engineer takes those specifications, writes code, handles code review cycles, responds to feedback, and proactively communicates any blockers or obstacles to the user early in the process. Both agents communicate directly with each other, eliminating the need for manual translation between technical and product roles.
