About this website

Bulma is a free open-source CSS framework based on Flexbox, created by Jeremy Thomas in 2016, providing ready-to-use frontend components and a modern CSS architecture without any JavaScript dependency, enabling rapid responsive web development through composable CSS classes for layout, typography, forms, buttons, navigation, and components, adopted by over two hundred thousand projects with forty-eight thousand GitHub stars as one of the most popular pure CSS frameworks. The Flexbox-based layout system provides columns, tiles, and level components that use CSS Flexbox for alignment, distribution, and responsive behavior, with column sizing through fractions and percentage-like classes, vertical and horizontal alignment modifiers, gap and offset utilities, and automatic responsive breakpoints at tablet, desktop, and widescreen sizes, creating flexible layouts without custom CSS. The component library provides pre-styled elements and components including buttons with styles, sizes, states, and icon support, forms with all input types including checkboxes, radio buttons, select dropdowns, and file uploads, navigation bars with dropdowns and汉堡 menus, modals, tabs, pagination, panels, cards, media objects, notifications, tags, and breadcrumbs, all styled consistently through the Bulma design system. The Sass-based theming enables complete visual customization through over three hundred Sass variables controlling colors, typography, spacing, breakpoints, and component-specific styles, with the ability to import only the needed components to reduce CSS bundle size, and automatic dark mode through prefers-color-scheme media queries. The modular architecture enables importing individual components. Designed for frontend developers and designers.
