Canada China Business Council

The Canada China Business Council, abbreviated CCBC, is a private sector non-profit membership organization founded in 1978 and headquartered in Toronto, with additional offices in Beijing, Shanghai, and Vancouver, dedicated to promoting trade and investment between Canada and China. The organization serves over one hundred member companies across diverse sectors including natural resources, agriculture, financial services, technology, consumer goods, education, and professional services, ranging from large Canadian corporations like Bombardier, Manulife, and Sun Life to Chinese enterprises with Canadian operations and small and medium-sized companies seeking cross-border business opportunities. CCBC provides members with market intelligence reports on Chinese industry sectors, regulatory updates on Chinese foreign investment rules and trade policies, business matchmaking services connecting Canadian companies with qualified Chinese partners, and organized trade missions to major Chinese business centers. The annual Canada-China Business Forum brings together senior executives and government officials from both countries for policy dialogue and deal-making. The organization maintains relationships with Canadian federal and provincial trade ministries, the Chinese Ministry of Commerce, and the Canadian and Chinese embassy commercial sections to advocate on bilateral trade and investment policy issues.
