DoltHub

DoltHub is the cloud collaboration platform for Dolt, the worlds first and only version-controlled SQL database that combines the data management capabilities of a relational database with the branching, committing, diffing, and merging workflow of Git. The underlying storage engine uses Prolly Trees, a Merkle-DAG data structure similar to Git content-addressable storage, enabling cryptographic integrity verification, efficient diffing between any two database states, and three-way merges of concurrent changes from different branches. The Dolt ecosystem includes three database variants with identical version control semantics but different SQL dialects: Dolt is a drop-in MySQL replacement, Doltgres is a drop-in PostgreSQL replacement, and DoltLite is a drop-in SQLite replacement. Hosted Dolt provides fully managed cloud deployment with automatic backups, read replicas, and point-in-time recovery. DoltHub functions as GitHub for databases, offering public and private repository hosting, pull request workflows for collaborative data editing, fork and clone operations, and the ability to browse data history at any commit. DoltLab brings the same collaboration features on-premises for organizations that cannot send data to the cloud. The platform publishes over 150 public datasets including US Census data, price databases, and cryptocurrency price history. Recent positioning emphasizes Dolt as the database for AI agents, providing audit trails for data modifications made by autonomous agents, enabling rollback of erroneous changes, and supporting version-controlled knowledge base management.
