Earth FM Nature Sounds Library

Earth FM is a non profit nature sounds library and environmental audio archive that collects and shares high quality field recordings of natural soundscapes from locations around the world. The platform features thousands of authentic nature recordings captured by a global community of field recordists and sound artists, covering diverse ecosystems including tropical rainforests in Costa Rica, temperate woodlands in Europe, arid deserts in the American Southwest, coastal shorelines in Australia, high mountain passes in the Himalayas, and wetland marshes in Southeast Asia. Each recording includes detailed metadata about the recording location, date, time of day, weather conditions, and the animal species or natural phenomena audible in the soundscape. Earth FM provides interactive listening features including a map based discovery interface where users can explore recordings geographically, curated playlists organized by mood and habitat type, and educational content about the importance of natural soundscapes for biodiversity monitoring and conservation awareness.
