About this website
The Ethiopian Chamber of Commerce and Sectoral Associations Association, abbreviated ECCSA, is the apex private sector organization representing the business community of Ethiopia, with its headquarters in Addis Ababa. Established in 1947, ECCSA is a federation of regional chambers of commerce and sectoral associations operating across the eleven regional chambers and dozens of city-level chambers throughout Ethiopia, collectively representing tens of thousands of member businesses. Ethiopia is the second most populous country in Africa with over one hundred twenty million people and one of the fastest-growing economies on the continent, with key sectors including agriculture, particularly coffee exports, textiles and garment manufacturing, construction, and emerging industries in pharmaceuticals and steel. ECCSA advocates for private sector interests in policy discussions with the Ethiopian government on investment regulations, foreign exchange access for importers, tax policy, customs procedures, land allocation for industrial parks, and trade facilitation within the African Continental Free Trade Area.
