Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce

The Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry, abbreviated FCCI, represents the business community of Faisalabad, the third largest city in Pakistan by population and the country's largest industrial hub. Faisalabad is known as the Manchester of Pakistan due to its concentration of textile manufacturing, with over five hundred thousand power looms and dozens of spinning mills, dyeing and finishing plants, and garment factories producing cotton yarn, finished fabric, bed linen, towels, hosiery, and ready-made garments for both domestic consumption and export to Europe, the United States, and the Middle East. The textile sector in Faisalabad accounts for a significant share of Pakistan's total textile exports which exceed thirteen billion dollars annually. FCCI's membership includes textile mill owners, garment manufacturers, agricultural processors, and trading houses. The Chamber operates a research and development cell, publishes economic data on Faisalabad's industrial output, provides trade facilitation services including certificate of origin and certificate of membership documentation, and represents local industry in negotiations with the Water and Power Development Authority on electricity tariffs.
