About this website
FigJam is an online collaborative whiteboard tool developed by Figma, the design platform company founded in 2012 by Dylan Field (CEO) and Evan Wallace (CTO) in San Francisco. Launched in April 2021, it is designed for brainstorming, diagramming, workshops, and meetings, complementing Figma design capabilities. Figma was acquired by Adobe in September 2022 for approximately $20 billion. Serves over 4 million users and integrates seamlessly with Figma design files. Key features: infinite canvas: an unlimited whiteboard where teams place sticky notes, shapes, text, images, and freehand drawings. Zoom and pan across any scale. Real-time collaboration: multiple users edit simultaneously with live cursors showing each person's position and name. Changes appear instantly with no merge conflicts. Sticky notes: color-coded digital sticky notes for brainstorming, affinity mapping, and retrospectives. Bulk-create by selecting and duplicating. Drawing tools: freehand pen, marker, highlighter, shapes, arrows, connectors, and text. Smart selection for alignment and distribution. Stamps and emotes: react with emoji stamps (hearts, checkmarks, stars). Templates: pre-built templates for brainstorming, flowcharts, org charts, mind maps, journey maps, and weekly planners. Widgets: interactive mini-apps embedded on the canvas including timers, polls, and integrations with Jira, Slack, and Trello. Diagramming: auto-layout connectors. Voice chat: built-in audio for real-time discussion. Sections: organize canvas into named sections for navigation. Export to PDF, PNG, and Figma. JavaScript/WebGL. Proprietary with free tier.
