Figure is an artificial intelligence and robotics company that develops a general-purpose humanoid robot designed for everyday home use. The company’s primary product, Figure 03, is a human-shaped robot powered by a proprietary AI system called Helix. Helix enables the robot to perceive, navigate, and operate within unpredictable and ever-changing home environments without requiring pre-mapped layouts or external markers. The robot uses advanced computer vision, sensor fusion, and real-time decision-making to understand the spatial structure of a home, recognize objects, and adapt to dynamic conditions such as furniture rearrangement, moving people, or pets. Figure 03 is built to perform a wide range of household tasks that traditionally require human dexterity and judgment, including but not limited to cleaning floors, wiping surfaces, organizing items, fetching objects, opening doors and drawers, loading and unloading dishwashers, folding laundry, and assisting with basic cooking preparation. The robot’s manipulators and grippers are designed to handle objects of various shapes, sizes, and fragility, applying appropriate force and grip patterns learned through reinforcement learning and demonstration. The Helix AI system also supports natural language interaction, allowing users to give verbal commands or ask questions about the robot’s status and environment. Figure 03 is intended to operate autonomously for extended periods, recharging itself when needed, and can coordinate with smart home devices through standard protocols. The robot’s balance and locomotion system allows it to walk on uneven surfaces, climb stairs, and navigate around obstacles while maintaining stability even when carrying objects.
