The global distribution deploys application instances across multiple regions simultaneously, routing each user request to the nearest instance through anycast networking, achieving sub-fifty millisecond response times worldwide, with automatic failover between regions. The Firecracker microVM technology runs each application in a lightweight virtual machine providing hardware-level isolation with startup times under one hundred twenty-five milliseconds, combining security benefits of virtualization with performance characteristics of containers. The managed PostgreSQL provides automated backups, point-in-time recovery, read replicas in multiple regions, and automatic failover, while LiteFS enables global SQLite replication for edge-native applications.
