Global Electronics Association

The Global Electronics Association, formerly known as the Consumer Technology Association and operating through its platform at electronics dot org, is a trade organization serving the global electronics and technology manufacturing industry. The Association represents companies involved in the design, manufacture, and distribution of electronic products and components across multiple segments including consumer electronics, industrial electronics, automotive electronics, and semiconductor devices. The global electronics manufacturing industry generates over two trillion dollars in annual revenue, with major production centers in China, Taiwan, South Korea, Vietnam, and Mexico. The Association organizes industry events and trade shows that connect manufacturers with component suppliers and distributors, facilitates networking among electronics professionals through regional chapters in China, Europe, India, Japan, and Mexico, publishes industry market data and technology trend reports on topics including artificial intelligence hardware, 5G infrastructure components, and the Internet of Things ecosystem, and advocates on behalf of the electronics industry on regulatory issues such as product safety standards, environmental compliance under RoHS and WEEE directives, and trade policy affecting electronics tariffs.
