The exploration features include guided tours of famous landmarks, natural wonders, and cultural sites with narrated information, Voyager interactive stories combining maps with multimedia content from partners including NASA, BBC, and National Geographic, and the I'm Feeling Lucky feature that transports users to random interesting locations worldwide. The creation tools enable users to draw placemarks, paths, and polygons on the globe, add text descriptions and photographs, record narrated flyover tours, and share custom maps with others.
