Heidi

Heidi is a clinical AI platform designed to support healthcare professionals—particularly physicians, nurses, and allied clinicians—throughout the entire patient care workflow, from initial documentation to follow-up communications. Unlike generic note-taking tools, Heidi integrates three core modules: Scribe, Evidence, and Comms. The Scribe module uses ambient listening and natural language processing to automatically generate clinical notes in real time during patient encounters, covering outpatient visits, inpatient rounds, telemedicine, and even remote or rural settings. It adapts to different medical specialties and note formats, reducing the time clinicians spend on manual documentation. The Evidence module functions as an on-the-fly clinical decision support tool: during a consultation, a clinician can query Heidi for the latest research, treatment guidelines, drug interactions, diagnostic criteria, or comparative treatment outcomes without leaving the patient interaction workflow. It surfaces relevant, cited information from trusted medical literature and databases, helping clinicians answer questions or explain options to patients. The Comms module automates and streamlines post-visit tasks such as drafting referral letters, generating patient instructions, ordering follow-up tests, and composing secure messages to colleagues or patients. Heidi also offers a hardware component called Heidi Remote—a 21-gram wearable microphone that operates fully offline with on-device encryption, enabling accurate transcription in challenging environments like operating theaters, emergency departments, or rural clinics with limited internet connectivity.
