Hyperledger Besu is an open-source Ethereum client written in Java, developed under the Hyperledger Foundation and designed for enterprise and public Ethereum network use cases. Created by ConsenSys (originally as Pantheon) and contributed to Hyperledger in 2019, with over 1,500 stars as of 2026.
