Klap is a software tool designed to streamline the process of repurposing long-form video content into short-form clips optimized for social media platforms such as TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts. It targets content creators, marketers, podcasters, and businesses who regularly produce hour-long videos, webinars, or live streams and want to extract engaging snippets without manual editing. The core functionality relies on artificial intelligence to analyze the original video’s audio and visual elements. After uploading a video, users can select a target platform, and Klap automatically identifies key moments—such as high-energy segments, question-and-answer exchanges, or visually striking scenes—and generates multiple short clips. Each clip is automatically reframed to match the vertical aspect ratio of mobile-first platforms, with intelligent cropping that tracks moving subjects, keeps important elements in frame, and applies layout options like split-screen for interviews, screencasts for tutorials, or gaming overlays for streamers. The AI also adds burned-in captions synchronized with the speech, using automatic speech recognition to produce subtitles in over 30 languages. Users can customize caption styles, fonts, colors, and positions. Beyond clipping and captions, Klap provides a “viral score” for each generated short. This score is based on analysis of pacing, audio energy, visual complexity, and trending patterns from actual platform data. Creators can use this score to prioritize which clips to post, increasing the likelihood of engagement. Klap also supports batch processing: a 60-minute video can be turned into dozens of 30–60 second shorts in a few minutes. Outputs are downloadable in MP4 format with platform-specific aspect ratios (9:16 for TikT
