Mailcow Email Server Suite

Mailcow is a complete, Dockerized mail server suite that integrates Postfix, Dovecot, and other mail-related components into an easy-to-deploy, unified platform with a powerful web-based administration interface. Created by Andre Peters and the Mailcow community since 2016, the project provides a turnkey solution for hosting email including SMTP, IMAP, spam filtering, webmail, and calendar synchronization, deployed entirely via Docker Compose. Key features include: mail server components (Postfix for SMTP, Dovecot for IMAP and POP3 with full-text search and sieve filtering, Rspamd for spam filtering and DKIM signing, and ClamAV for antivirus scanning), administration interface (web GUI for managing domains, mailboxes, aliases, relay domains, forwarding, catch-all, and per-domain administrator access), SOGo groupware (integrated webmail, calendar, contacts, and ActiveSync for Outlook and mobile device synchronization), Rspamd integration (advanced spam filtering with fuzzy hash, DKIM, SPF, DMARC, ARC verification, greylisting, and per-user learning), DKIM and DMARC (automatic DKIM key generation and signing, DMARC report processing, and ARC chain validation), two-factor authentication (TOTP and WebAuthn for administrative interface), per-domain configuration (custom transport maps, relay hosts, sender and recipient BCC, and filtering policies), mailbox management (per-mailbox quota, send-as permissions, sieve filter management, and sync job for external IMAP migration), fail2ban integration (automatic IP blocking for brute-force attempts), SSL and Let's Encrypt (automatic certificate provisioning with SNI support), RESTful API for programmatic management, and monitoring (health checks, mail queue visibility, service status dashboard, and Prometheus metrics).
