MHI

MHI is the nation's largest material handling, logistics, and supply chain trade association, headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, representing over nine hundred member companies that manufacture products and provide services used in warehousing, distribution, manufacturing, and logistics operations throughout the supply chain. The organization traces its origins to 1945 and has grown to encompass all major segments of the material handling industry including conveyors and sortation systems, industrial robots and automated guided vehicles, storage rack and shelving, lift trucks and industrial vehicles, packaging and identification systems, and supply chain software for warehouse management and transportation optimization. MHI produces four major industry events including MODEX and ProMat, the two largest material handling and supply chain trade shows in North America, each alternating annually in Atlanta and Chicago and drawing over forty thousand attendees. The association publishes the Annual Industry Report in partnership with Deloitte Consulting, a widely cited benchmark study on supply chain trends, technology adoption, and workforce challenges that shapes investment decisions across the logistics technology sector.
