Users begin by selecting a mood from a visually rich interface displaying emojis and short descriptors such as “Determined,” “Good vibes,” “Hopeful,” “Amazed,” “Chill,” “Ahhhh!,” “Epic,” “Playful,” “Trippy,” “Gal time,” “Fun,” and “Alleluia!” Each emotion triggers a tailored list of films that match the intended emotional tone, using machine learning models trained on viewer feedback, reviews, and psychological research. The platform also allows users to filter results by their specific streaming subscriptions, showing only movies available on the services they already pay for, eliminating the frustration of browsing across multiple apps. For example, a user feeling “Chill” might see recommendations like “The Big Lebowski” or “Lost in Translation,” while someone selecting “Epic” might receive “Gladiator” or “Interstellar.” Moveme also provides additional filtering by streaming service, so users can see what is available for free on ad-supported platforms, or what is included in their premium subscriptions.
