MuseScore is a free and open-source music notation software for creating, playing, and printing sheet music. Originally developed by Werner Schweer in 2002, the project has grown into the world's most popular free music notation software with over 10 million users. The company (based in Stockholm) was acquired by Ultimate Guitar in 2018 and is now part of Muse Group, led by Eugene Muziek.
