Mux Video Infrastructure API

Mux Data monitors real-time quality of experience metrics including video start time, rebuffering ratio, playback failure rate, and quality exit ratio, aggregated by geography, device, browser, CDN, and content metadata, with alerting when metrics exceed configured thresholds. The Data API also supports competitive benchmarking, comparing a publisher's quality metrics against industry medians, and provides per-stream analytics for diagnosing individual playback issues. The platform handles live streaming with ultra-low-latency modes, simultaneous recording for on-demand playback after the live event, and multi-bitrate transcoding through the real-time encoder.
