OSSInsight is a free and open source analytics platform that provides real-time intelligence on the GitHub ecosystem by tracking over 10 billion GitHub events. It is designed for developers, open source maintainers, and organizations who need a data-driven understanding of how repositories, developers, and communities evolve. The platform ingests and processes every public event on GitHub — including pushes, stars, pull requests, issues, commits, reviews, and forks — and presents them through interactive dashboards, visualizations, and structured data exports. Unlike traditional GitHub search or static star counters, OSSInsight enables users to query, filter, and compare repositories across hundreds of dimensions such as activity velocity, contributor diversity, code review patterns, and issue resolution time.
