Patterns is a specialized AI agent designed for finance firms to accelerate and streamline the deal-execution process, particularly in sell-side transactions such as mergers, acquisitions, and capital raising. The platform focuses on preparing Confidential Information Memorandums (CIMs) — critical documents that summarize a company’s financials, operations, and market position for potential buyers. Patterns automates and augments many of the labor-intensive steps traditionally performed by investment bankers, private equity associates, and corporate development teams. At its core, Patterns integrates deeply with Microsoft Excel, Snowflake, and Python, allowing users to leverage existing data infrastructure without manual data migration. The agent can consume raw financial data, company records, and market research to generate drivers-based financial models — flexible projections that link key business drivers (e.g., revenue growth rate, margin assumptions) to outputs. These models are structured similarly to those found in CIMs, enabling quick sensitivity analysis and scenario testing. One of Patterns’ primary capabilities is building a buyer universe. The platform can automatically identify 200+ potential acquirers (strategic buyers, financial sponsors) based on the target company’s industry, size, and financial profile. It enriches each buyer with tags (e.g., “relevant track record,” “recent acquisition history”) and contact information, saving bankers weeks of manual research. Users can then draft CIM sections by ingesting documents (e.g., management presentations, audited financials, legal filings) and having Patterns extract relevant content, format it, and produce banker-grade output.
