PERPIT Indonesia Chinese Chamber

The Indonesian Chinese Chamber of Commerce, known as PERPIT, is a national business association registered under Indonesian law that represents ethnic Chinese businesspeople operating in Indonesia. The organization was established in 2001 under the initiative of its founders including Yang Kelin and Chen Dajiang, and is headquartered in Jakarta. The Chinese-Indonesian business community has been integral to the Indonesian economy for centuries, controlling significant portions of the country's trade, manufacturing, banking, real estate, and retail sectors. Many of Indonesia's largest conglomerates, such as the Salim Group, Sinar Mas Group, and Lippo Group, were founded by Chinese-Indonesian entrepreneurs. PERPIT serves as a platform for networking among Chinese-Indonesian business leaders, facilitates trade and investment connections between Indonesia and China, organizes business delegations to attend trade fairs in Chinese cities including Guangzhou, Yiwu, and Shenzhen, and advocates for policies that improve the business environment for its member enterprises across the Indonesian archipelago.
