qBittorrent is a free and open-source BitTorrent client designed as a lightweight, ad-free alternative to uTorrent. Created in 2005 by Christophe Dumez, the project is written in C++ using the Qt framework and the libtorrent-rasterbar library (developed by Arvid Norberg). It aims to provide a feature-rich yet lightweight torrent client without advertisements or bundled software.
