Quip

Quip is a collaboration product owned by Salesforce that combines documents, spreadsheets, and chat in one workspace, aimed at helping teams write, plan, and discuss without switching apps. It was founded in 2013 by Bret Taylor, who had previously co-created Google Maps, and Jeff Kinder, and was acquired by Salesforce in 2016. Quip's live documents let multiple people edit the same file at once, with inline comments and threaded chat alongside the content, and its spreadsheets support the formulas teams expect for lightweight modeling. Tight integration with Salesforce records lets sales and service teams embed living docs directly in customer accounts. Templates cover everything from meeting notes to product specs, and a mobile app keeps field teams in sync.
