Singapore Food Manufacturers Association

The Singapore Food Manufacturers Association, abbreviated SFMA, was established in 1968 and represents over five hundred food manufacturing companies in Singapore. The food manufacturing sector is a significant contributor to the Singapore economy, producing a wide range of products including sauces and condiments, snacks, beverages, frozen foods, instant noodles, bakery products, and ready-to-eat meals. Singapore food companies have built strong brands recognized across Asia and beyond, with products such as Hainanese chicken rice paste, chili sauce, laksa paste, and kaya coconut jam exported to over thirty countries. SFMA organizes the annual Singapore Food Expo, one of the largest consumer food fairs in the country, facilitates participation in international food exhibitions such as SIAL Paris, Anuga in Cologne, and Foodex Japan, and assists members with halal certification through MUIS, FDA registration for exports to the United States, and compliance with international food safety standards under the HACCP and ISO 22000 frameworks.
