About this website
An interactive browser-based game that teaches the pen tool in Adobe Illustrator and similar vector graphics editors by having players draw Bézier curves. Created by Mark MacKay and the Method of Action project, the game presents 13 stages where players trace letterforms using Bézier handles. Keyboard shortcuts include Cmd+Z for undo, Shift+Cmd+Z for redo, Cmd+X to clear the stage, and Option to unlink control handles. An optional Snap to Angle mode helps draw straight lines. Players score based on how few nodes they use to complete each shape, encouraging efficient curve creation. The game requires a physical keyboard and mouse or trackpad and does not work well on touch devices; mobile users are redirected to the Boolean Game. No account or payment is required. Visitors can make donations to support the project. The site is part of a broader suite of design education tools by Method of Action, all free to use.
