About this website

Warp is an open-source agentic development environment that evolved from the traditional terminal concept. It provides a unified platform where developers can execute coding agents both locally on their machines and remotely in the cloud, without being locked into any single model, harness, repository, or tool. The environment supports integrating multiple AI coding agents, such as Claude Code, Codex, and the native Warp Agent, allowing users to orchestrate them simultaneously through a feature called Oz. This orchestration capability enables complex workflows where different agents handle distinct tasks—for example, one agent might analyze code structure while another generates test cases, and a third refactors implementation details—all within the same session. Warp is designed to be model-agnostic, meaning it can interface with a variety of large language models from different providers, giving developers the flexibility to choose the best model for each specific task. The terminal itself is AI-enhanced, providing intelligent command completion, error explanation, and natural language to shell command translation. Users can input plain English descriptions of what they want to accomplish, and Warp will generate the appropriate commands, reducing the cognitive load of remembering complex syntax. For teams and enterprises, Warp offers centralized control through a management layer that provides visibility and oversight over all agent sessions running across the organization. Administrators can monitor agent activity, inspect outputs, and intervene in real time by joining agent sessions with a single click. This is particularly useful for debugging, code review, or ensuring compliance with coding standards. The platform has been adopted by over 800,000 individual develo
