About this website
The Western United States Agricultural Trade Association, known as WUSATA, is a non-profit organization founded in 1980 and headquartered in Vancouver, Washington, representing the thirteen western state departments of agriculture including Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming. The association helps small and medium-sized food and agricultural companies from these western states export their products to international markets through funding from the USDA Market Access Program and the Emerging Markets Program. Services include customized export readiness assessments, international buyer matchmaking events where foreign food importers are brought to meet with western US food producers, branded product promotion in target international markets, and organized trade missions to countries across Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and Latin America. The organization maintains a trade leads database where international food buyers post specific product sourcing requests that western state food companies can respond to, and provides export compliance guidance on phytosanitary certificate requirements, food labeling regulations, and tariff classification for food products entering foreign markets.
