Adminer Database Management

Adminer is a full-featured database management tool contained in a single PHP file, created by Jakub Vrana and currently at version 5.4.2 released on February 8th, 2026. The entire application ships as a single 497 kilobyte PHP file (321 kB English only) that requires only PHP 5.3 or later with sessions enabled, making deployment as simple as uploading one file to any web server. It natively connects to MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, CockroachDB, SQLite, MS SQL Server, and Oracle, with additional database support including Elasticsearch, SimpleDB, MongoDB, Firebird, and ClickHouse available through plugins. The tool is available in 46 languages including Chinese, and development priorities are strictly ordered as security first, user experience second, performance third, feature set fourth, and file size fifth. Security features include mandatory password protection on all connections, built-in rate limiting against brute force attacks, OTP authentication through plugins, and IP whitelisting support. The interface provides table and column management with full type, collation, comment, and default value editing, index and foreign key operations, view creation, stored procedure and trigger management, SQL command execution from text or file, data export to SQL or CSV, database schema visualization with foreign key relationships, process monitoring, user rights management, and variable display with documentation links. The tool ships with 35 plus community contributed design skins including dark modes, Dracula theme, Material design, and Windows 98 retro themes. Licensed under Apache 2.0 or GPL 2.
