Agbiz South Africa

The Agricultural Business Chamber of South Africa, known as Agbiz, is a sectoral body representing companies in the agribusiness value chain in South Africa, headquartered in Centurion near Pretoria. Agbiz members include agricultural input suppliers, grain handlers and storers, food and beverage processors, agricultural commodity traders, fertilizer and agrochemical manufacturers, and agricultural equipment suppliers. South African agribusiness is a sophisticated and technologically advanced sector that operates across the full value chain from primary production through to food processing and retail distribution. The organization advocates on behalf of member companies on policy issues including land reform and agricultural land tenure security, trade policy and market access for South African agricultural exports, biofuel regulations, infrastructure and logistics for agricultural commodity exports through South African ports, water rights and irrigation policy, and labor regulations affecting the agricultural sector.
