About this website
The Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry, abbreviated FPCCI, is the apex body of trade and industry in Pakistan, established in 1950 and headquartered in Karachi with regional offices in Lahore, Quetta, and Peshawar. Pakistan is the fifth most populous country in the world with over two hundred twenty million people, and its economy is driven by textiles and apparel which account for more than sixty percent of exports, followed by rice, leather goods, surgical instruments, sports goods from Sialkot, cement, and football production. The city of Sialkot alone produces over seventy percent of the world's footballs used in international tournaments. FPCCI represents all regional chambers of commerce and sector-specific trade associations in Pakistan, including the Karachi Chamber of Commerce, Lahore Chamber, and the All Pakistan Textile Mills Association. The Federation engages in economic policy advocacy, prepares the annual trade policy recommendations for the Ministry of Commerce, participates in trade negotiations including those under the GSP Plus preferential trade arrangement with the European Union, organizes trade delegations to China under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor framework, and operates an arbitration center for resolving commercial disputes.
