Juice Products Association

The Juice Products Association, abbreviated JPA, is the trade organization representing the fruit and vegetable juice industry in the United States, headquartered in Washington. The association represents juice processors, packers, and brand owners across all categories including one hundred percent juices, juice drinks, juice cocktails, nectars, and functional juice beverages. Member companies range from major beverage corporations producing nationally distributed juice brands to regional processors and contract packers supplying private label juice products for grocery retailers. The association serves as the industry voice before the Food and Drug Administration on regulatory matters including juice Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point requirements designed to address microbiological hazards particularly Salmonella and E. coli O157:H7 in unpasteurized juice, standards of identity for one hundred percent juice products specifying minimum juice content and permitted ingredients, and nutrition labeling requirements for juice beverages. Member services include regulatory compliance assistance on FDA juice labeling rules, ingredient approval tracking, and technical resources on processing technologies including pasteurization parameters, high pressure processing, and juice extraction efficiency optimization.
