Make UK Defence

Make UK Defence is a specialized division of Make UK, formerly the Engineering Employers Federation, dedicated to representing the interests of manufacturing companies in the United Kingdom's defense and aerospace supply chain. The UK defense industry is one of the largest in the world, with annual exports exceeding ten billion pounds and employing over two hundred sixty thousand people across companies ranging from prime contractors such as BAE Systems, Rolls-Royce, and Leonardo to thousands of small and medium enterprises in the supply chain. Make UK Defence supports members across the defense manufacturing supply chain including companies producing military aircraft, naval vessels, armored vehicles, weapons systems, radar and electronic warfare systems, and cybersecurity solutions. The division provides guidance on defense procurement regulations and the Single Source Contract Regulations, facilitates participation in MOD Defense Contracts Online, advocates on export control compliance under the UK Strategic Export Control regime, organizes the annual Defence Dinner and industry briefing events, and helps members navigate the Defense and Security Accelerator funding programs for innovative defense technology development.
