Master CSS

Master CSS is an innovative virtual CSS language and engine that compiles utility-first CSS classes and component styles into highly optimized runtime stylesheets, combining the developer experience of utility-first frameworks like Tailwind CSS with the performance benefits of zero-runtime CSS-in-JS solutions. Unlike traditional CSS frameworks that ship pre-built utility classes as static CSS files, Master CSS generates styles on-demand at runtime using a Virtual CSS engine that only creates the CSS rules actually used on the page, resulting in significantly smaller bundle sizes and faster initial page loads. The framework introduces an expressive class syntax that supports responsive variants, state modifiers, pseudo-elements, CSS custom properties (variables), nesting selectors, and arbitrary values, all within a single class attribute. Master CSS features automatic variable detection, smart stylesheet splitting for code-splitting per route, scoped styles for component isolation, dark mode and color scheme management, RTL (right-to-left) language support, and built-in theming with semantic tokens.
