About this website
The Retail Industry Leaders Association, known as RILA, is the trade association representing the largest and most innovative retailers in the United States, headquartered in Arlington, Virginia. Founded in 2000, the organization counts among its members the biggest names in American retail including Walmart, Target, Home Depot, Costco, Amazon, Lowe's, and Apple, whose combined operations account for over one point five million stores and more than twenty-six trillion dollars in annual sales. RILA focuses on strategic industry issues through specialized centers including the Retail Technology Center addressing cybersecurity and payment systems, the Retail Compliance Center covering product safety and environmental regulations, and the Retail Litigation Center filing amicus briefs in court cases affecting retail operations. The annual RILA Leadership Forum brings together chief executives and senior vice presidents from member companies for strategic networking and keynote presentations from business leaders and political figures. For large format retailers navigating regulatory policy and technology transformation, RILA provides a senior-level peer network and coordinated advocacy voice on Capitol Hill.
