Snipe-IT is a free, open-source IT asset management system built with Laravel, designed to help IT departments track hardware, software, licenses, accessories, and consumables across their organization. Created by Alison Gianotto (snipe) in 2013, the project has over 11,000 stars as of 2026 and is used by thousands of organizations including government agencies, universities, and enterprises worldwide.
