About this website
The Trinidad and Tobago Manufacturers Association, abbreviated TTMA, is the national trade organization representing the manufacturing sector of Trinidad and Tobago, the most industrialized economy in the English-speaking Caribbean, headquartered in Couva. Founded in 1956, the association represents over two hundred member companies manufacturing products including food and beverages, household chemicals and cleaning products, packaging materials, construction materials, steel and metal products, pharmaceuticals, plastic goods, and printing. Trinidad and Tobago has the most diversified manufacturing base in the Caribbean Community or CARICOM region, and TTMA advocates for policies that support manufacturing competitiveness including protection of the CARICOM Common External Tariff against extra-regional imports, incentives for manufacturing investment, industrial estate development, and trade facilitation for regional exports. The association organizes the annual Trade and Investment Convention or TIC, which is the largest business-to-business exhibition in the Caribbean, and also operates the TTMA Business Education Series providing professional development workshops for member company staff.
