About this website
The Croatian Hydrogen Association, abbreviated CROH2, is a professional and scientific organization based at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture of the University of Split. The association serves as the Croatian chapter of the International Association for Hydrogen Energy and brings together researchers, engineers, industry professionals and policy makers interested in hydrogen technologies and fuel cell applications in Croatia. Croatia has significant potential for green hydrogen production from renewable energy sources, particularly from wind power capacity in the Dalmatian coastal region and solar energy in the southern parts of the country. The association organizes conferences on alternative propulsion for railway vehicles, hydrogen bus roadshow events, and educational activities to promote awareness of hydrogen as a clean energy carrier for transport, industry and power generation, supporting Croatia's transition toward climate neutrality under the European Green Deal framework.
