IFDA

The International Foodservice Distributors Association, known as IFDA, is the trade organization representing foodservice distribution companies in the United States, headquartered in Arlington, Virginia. Member companies include the largest broadline foodservice distributors in the country such as Sysco Corporation, US Foods, Performance Food Group, and Reyes Holdings, along with over one hundred fifty regional and specialized distribution companies that supply restaurants, healthcare facilities, schools, military installations, and other foodservice operations with perishable and shelf-stable food products, equipment, and supplies. The association provides its members with industry benchmarking data through annual distributor performance surveys tracking key operational metrics including cases delivered per stop, trucks per driver, inventory turns, and cost as a percentage of sales. Policy advocacy focuses on federal Hours of Service regulations for truck drivers, food safety requirements under the Food Safety Modernization Act, transportation and logistics policy, and federal procurement programs. The annual IFDA Solutions Conference brings distribution company executives together with supplier manufacturers for business planning sessions and industry strategic discussions.
