About this website

The Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, abbreviated KCCI, established in 1958, is one of the largest and most active chambers of commerce in Pakistan, representing the business community of Karachi, the country's largest city and economic powerhouse. Karachi alone contributes approximately one-quarter of Pakistan's GDP and handles over ninety-five percent of the country's international trade through the Port of Karachi and Port Qasim. The city is home to the Pakistan Stock Exchange, the headquarters of major banks including HBL and Meezan Bank, the country's largest automotive assembly plants producing Toyota, Honda, and Suzuki vehicles, oil refineries including Pakistan Refinery Limited and Byco Petroleum, steel mills, cement factories, pharmaceutical manufacturers, food processing companies, and a vast garment industry. KCCI serves over four thousand direct members and represents businesses across manufacturing, services, and trading sectors. The Chamber hosts the annual My Karachi Oasis of Harmony exhibition, provides certificate of origin and attestation services, advocates on behalf of business on issues including utility tariffs and taxation, and organizes interactions with foreign trade delegations visiting Karachi.
