Beyond the headline metrics, the platform provides a detailed Opportunities section listing specific optimizations ranked by estimated time savings, such as eliminating render-blocking resources, properly sizing images, reducing JavaScript execution time, and minifying CSS. The Diagnostics section surfaces additional performance concerns including unused JavaScript, long main-thread tasks, render-blocking third-party scripts, and inefficient cache headers. The tool also evaluates accessibility, SEO, and best practices through separate audit categories. Developers receive specific, code-level recommendations for each issue, including compressed image suggestions, font-display strategies, and critical CSS extraction techniques. Historical performance tracking allows teams to monitor improvements over time and set performance budgets.
