pgAdmin is the most popular and feature-rich open-source administration and development platform for PostgreSQL, the most advanced open source database in the world. The current version 9.16, released on June 18, 2026, runs as a desktop application on Windows, macOS, and Linux using Electron 42, as a Python wheel for server-side deployment, as a Docker container, and as a web application accessible from any modern browser with Helm chart support for Kubernetes orchestration. Authentication supports OAuth2 with GitHub, Google, and Azure AD, Kerberos and Active Directory integration, multi-factor authentication, and role-based access control in server mode.
