About this website
Sdružení automobilového průmyslu, abbreviated SAP, is the industry association representing the automotive manufacturing sector of the Czech Republic, headquartered in Prague. The Czech automotive industry is the backbone of the national manufacturing economy, with automotive production accounting for over twenty-five percent of Czech industrial output and employing more than one hundred twenty thousand workers. The Czech Republic is home to Škoda Auto, the largest Czech car manufacturer and a subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group, as well as a dense network of automotive parts suppliers including manufacturers like TPCA Czech in Kolín, a Toyota and Peugeot joint venture producing compact cars for European markets. SAP represents vehicle manufacturers and parts suppliers in policy discussions on automotive emissions regulations, electromobility transition, research and development incentives, workforce training for automotive technicians, and international trade policy affecting Czech automotive exports to European and global markets.
