About this website
The Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry, abbreviated LCCI, founded in 1923, is the oldest and one of the most influential business organizations in Pakistan, representing the private sector in Lahore and the broader Punjab province. Lahore is the capital of Punjab, the most populous and economically significant province in Pakistan, and serves as a major center for manufacturing, agriculture, services, and cultural industries. Punjab accounts for over half of Pakistan's national GDP and is the country's breadbasket with extensive production of wheat, rice, sugarcane, cotton, and citrus fruits. LCCI members include companies from the textile sector concentrated in Faisalabad and Lahore, the sports goods industry in Sialkot, the surgical instruments industry, fan and light engineering manufacturers in Gujranwala, and the rapidly growing information technology and e-commerce sector in Lahore. The Chamber offers online membership registration, provides trade documentation services including certificate of origin and visa recommendation letters, conducts economic policy research and budget proposals, organizes the Lahore Chamber Annual Excellence Awards, and represents Punjab's business interests in dialogue with the federal and provincial governments on issues including energy pricing, taxation, and regulatory reforms.
